Shaaron A. Bangs, partner in the construction law firm of Crawford & Bangs in West Covina, has been elected to the office of secretary on the National Association of Women in Construction board of directors. The election took place at the association’s annual convention in Washington, D.C.
Bangs is an active member of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter #110 and has just completed a two-year term as Region 12 director. She has served as legal counsel for the American Subcontractors Association Inland Empire from 1991-1994, and acted as legislative liaison and board member for WCOE, USA Los Angeles chapters for the 1993-1994 term. At the recent convention, an International Affiliation Agreement was signed with NAWIC Australia: Started only one year ago by Paula Gerber-Jones, a former member of the Santa Monica Chapter, NAWIC has grown to over 700 members with chapters in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. New Zealand also is in the process of chartering chapters.
